Hi Guys!

Thank you TinaP, RPM, BCGuy, Leon

I think I have a better understanding now of the complications I may face going forward with the visitor's visa request, although Im still curious. If my fiancee can make it to Canada through other family she has here (she would mark them in the visa application), and then we were to marry here, would this work?

Also, my understanding from reading the previous posts are that getting a PR under a vistor's visa would most likely take longer as opposed to being sponsored from abroad, can someone please confirm this?

If there is anyone else whose has experiences to share with regards to visitor's visa, I would love to hear from you.

Again, thanks to everyone for their time, it really helps to have such information.

I will keep posting here with updates.

Best!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
If she applies outland (asking for application to be processed in India and you can do this even if she is in Canada on visit visa), the sponsorship application would be processed in Canada first and takes about a month, after that the file goes to India and takes 2-6 months and then she will get her PR visa and can officially land as a PR. If she were called for an interview, it would happen in India.

If she applies inland, already in Canada on visit visa and not wishing to leave to India for an interview, first stage approval and work permit if she applied for one would take 5-6 months but total maybe a year or 18 months for PR.

You need to make sure you prepare your application properly. Provide good evidence of your relationship because if CIC doesn't believe in you, it could cause you to be refused or delayed. A refused outland application can be appealed but it can easily add a year to your application. An inland application can be sent to a local office for further scrutiny and depending on how busy the local office is, it can possibly add years to your application.

Hiya.

Just some follow-up.

We've decided the best thing to do is for her (my fiancee in India) to apply for a spousal via. Once I get there and get married with her, then we would proceed to apply for the spousal visa. This would grant her access to Canada at which point we would start the application process for her PR.

I am set to leave from Canada within 2 weeks time and I'm wandering whether it is necessary on my behalf to apply for family class sponsership at this point this late into our situation. Can this wait until we have comeback together?

Basically what are the critical issues to look after prior to my marriage in India and my fiancee getting her spousal visa.

As always, any help is really appreciated...

Thanks
