Wouldn't it be nice if CIC has direct access to CBSA & CRA database? This would really minimize delays in processing citizenship applications. They can easily verify the travel history of the applicants with CBSA records and cross-reference residence requirement against employment details (income, employer, etc.) rent/property tax credits found in CRA's records.
I heard that requesting travel history from CBSA alone requires at least a month. And if only CBSA would stamp the passport every time you leave and enter Canada. This really helps especially if you just crossed the border to check out the premium outlet and came back the same day.
RQs could then be reduced to the minimum.
