Nope. LMIA jobs will get 600 points. There is no need for LMIA for any other applicants.Regina said:Sure I do not remember details but even if you have a job in Canada you will have to apply for LMIA for EE. Read www.cic.gc.ca.
There maybe exceptions as they are now but still you will have to check with CIC if your are still excluded from getting LMIA for EE.
Exactly. There is a common consensus on this forum that LMIA is required to be successful at EE. It is not the case. If anyone has any grasp of percentiles and statistics then they know that staying above the 450 mark out of 1200 is easy enough to get picked in the same month you have applied.Regina said:Nope. He may apply without LMIA if he has a Canadian job. However, he will get just some points for job in Canada without LMIA (50). And +600 if he gets LMIA.
I've read that post and no that guy is kinda clueless. We will only know for sure come February. LMIAs positives are hard to get man and that article throws light on the concerns some of us PGWP had, but I guess if you think with a level head and logic you will know that you are mostly on the safe side.Conor9900 said:I think you're probably right Praneet (I hope you are), but there's a lot of speculation in the media about Express Entry which does not make for encouraging reading. The director of skills policy at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce has said this: "We weren't aware that a labour market impact assessment was going to be required for virtually every candidate to be eligible to apply for permanent residency, but that's the new scenario," (http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/express-entry-could-sideswipe-high-skilled-foreign-workers-1.2870369), and you would expect her to know what she was talking about
Okay, had some free time. There is a thread down there somewhere that lists the score of all the potential applicants on this site.Conor9900 said:Ha ha yeah I noticed that! Damn foreigners, coming over here taking out jobs and our women! ;D
I am a CEC applicant and have PGWP or open work permit. They dont need LMIA to work in Canada but I or any CEC applicants need to have LMIA approved job to have 600 pointsRegina said:They will not be requited. Only those who apply thru FSW and FSTW and PNP (depending on PN program in each province)

So here are the percentiles of sample scores against the sample size of this site's applicants
1100 - 99th percentile
950 - 95.2nd percentile
600 -- 93.3rd percentile
550 - 93.2nd percentile
500 - 93.1st percentile
490 - 93rd percentile
480 - 91.5th percentile
470 - 89.5th percentile
460 - 86.7th percentile
450 - 80.5th percentile
440 - 77.8th percentile
430 - 73.2nd percentile
420 - 68.1st percentile
410 - 64.8th percentile
400 - 60th percentile
370 - 52nd percentile
Now looking at the sample data, we have here we can see that if ur score is 370 you are in the middle mark. This again doesn't mean that you 50-50% chance. That only depends on the number of people applied.
FSW skilled workers applying to CIC is 10.8k
I don't even know if that is correct. If someone can tell me what the number of people applying each year is then we can do an analysis of the people getting PRs each year and get the optimal score by cross referencing it with this year's target.
Yes it is lol. This the only sample I had to work with. But yes you are right good language is rewarded which is so so so important. This was the best step taken by the government.AndreasChen said:This statistics is heavily biased, in that low score candidates will not even be on this forum because they cannot read English lol

You are doing a good job helping people out on forum... what I cannot fully agree (although I am hoping your statistics and predictions are good), is that it will be easy to get ITA if you are 450+... still think there must be some last minute catch that Canada will introduce - i mean, they can make draw rules per will, so it is very important which NOC are you...
Friend Please read this in the link.Regina said:If let's say they intend to issue 2000 ITA in this particular draw and the top ones 2000 are with job offers and LMIA then nobody without job offers will get ITA at that draw.
If there are only 1200 applicants with job offers then 800 ITA will be issued to those without job offers,
