He didn't file taxes for the 2009 tax year?
He didn't file taxes for the 2009 because of income was zero (he is trader and self-employee) but we've sent to Immigration Office 1) taxes for 2008 (it was very successful year) 2) explanation why his income was zero last year.

You can still file, even if your income is zero. You can still do it now for previous years and get your Option C within a few weeks, then re-apply with him as your sponsor.

Hi - I have a queston related to this.My Husband is canadian (born in Canada) he moved to Nicaragua when he was 12. All his work experiences are in Nicaragua. Now he has decided to come back to Canada (we arrived just this august and he is unemployed) We do have savings placed in the bank to support us both but what should we present for the Option C print out? Would this be the one from Nicaragua?

Thanks somuch

I beleive it asks for an explanation if you're unable to supply an option C. You would just explain that all his employment has been abroad since he has not been living in Canada for a number of years. You could submit any tax info he has from the country he has been living in.

By the way, the explanation doesnt have to be of any form right? It can be typed or handwritten and just signed by my husband?

Just want to make sure that proper documents would be given to avoid any delays with the process.

Thanks so much in advance!

It says if you do not provide this printout, provide an explanation on a seperate sheet of paper. So I would type up your explanation and have your husband sign it.

Lana I see you just filed inland in June, you won't hear anything back from Vegreville for 7-8 months as stated on the inland processing times. So you will have to sit tight and wait and see.

Good Luck with everything Lana :)

Thanks for your feedback and I want also to wish you good luck. One of my friends says "we need wait, pray and hope"

By the way do you know what abbreviation I can use for sponsorship of spouse? I see that many members have something like FAM etc but I don't know the abbreviation for sponsorship of spouse.
Thanks!

To the OP: if your husband is refused as a sponsor by CIC, you get your money back, minus the $75 fee. There is a box to check that says what you want CIC to do if the sponsor is found ineligible to sponsor. I assume you checked that you want to abandon the application (so you get your money back.)
Then: see why he was found to be ineligible, and try to fix this problem. Then apply again. If the only problem is a lack of an Option C, it doesn't matter. He can still be approved. If the problem is he is on welfare, then work to get off welfare and apply again. Other problems - like a criminal conviction - are harder to overcome.
