Dear Friends,

I wanna apply for Canadian Immigration in this year 2008.I am planning to take the exam of IELTS(General) in March 2008.I also intend to prepare for a French course.Would anybody tell me is it really difficult language r easy?

My friend,

My personal opinion is that the level of difficulty is per individual. It might be easy for me but difficult for you or vice versa.Of what I have heard (cos I do not know French) French is not considered as a difficult language. All it takes is practice and speaking more of the language.

Wish you good luck for your IELTS and French course.

Regards,

AP

Touchingskies,

The new rule (of which came into effect in 2005/2006) advices that you wait until you are asked to update or submit your papers or forms and since IELTS certificates now have expiry dates please wait for a while (probably after you are asked to submit your entries), doing the IELTS now won't make any sense.

The test is not difficult based on positive mind set and may be difficult if your mind think so.
Your test has one year expiry period so you have to be patient as you will still have years to wait on queue.
Good luck

for immigration as skilled worker you dont need to go for both languages as if you calculate your points all you need 67 for immigration to Canada so more then 67 points do nothing extra with immigration, if you have 4 year Work Experience , Master's degree and IELTS you will get enough points to qualify as skilled worker,
25 for master degree
10 for age
21 points for more then 4 year work Experience
16 for English
its total 72 points and you need 67 only to qualify but if you want to learn french as extra skill then its good ,
for more information see this web www.cic.gc.ca you can get enough information about immigration
Goodluck
