Hello,

I was looking to register for the IELTS test in the U.S.. Is it only Paper based these days? On some Web sites, I see both Computer based and paper based being mentioned, but I can only find paper based when I try to register.

Please help.

There is no online test. You have to appear in person so that your identity can be verified.

Thank you, scylla. I didn't mean online test.

I understand I need to be in-person to take the test. What I want to understand is if the test is computer based or paper based?

Do I get the test on a computer or do they give me an actual question/answer paper?

TOEFL has IBT but IELTS doesn't.

Thank you.

1) When do I get the results of my test?

2) Do I need to wait for the physical copy of the test results to submit an EE profile? Or can I view my results online and get my reference number from there to submit EE profile?

Exactly after 13 days from the date you take IELTS if you consider picking up the test results from the center you enrolled with. In the event you apply to receive your test results by mail, you will have to wait for an additional time period required by the courier agency. Hope that answers your question.
