IELTS Query

Hi,

I have only 6.5 (actual score) in Writing in my IELTS exam making my CLB = 8 (have good scores in other 3). Owing to this my CRS is 370.
Based on the CRS calculator, I believe CLB = 9 (or more) adds a lots of point.
So, I am thinking to re-appear for IELTS. I wanted to know, legally,
1. If I appear for IELTS again, will my old scores be void?
2. If not, then legally can I provide the best scores (out of 2 attempts) for CRS calculation?

Basically I am trying to understand can I give IELTS again and decide which score to provide? (just in case my 2nd attempt gives lesser scores).

Go ahead an do IELTS again, if you scored better than the last one then update your scores into your EE pofile, if not then keep your old scores in the system, you aren't breaching any law don't worry.

For providing the best score out of the 2 attemps.. no , they only accept IELTS scores in one set not in accumulation

But you cannot mix and match scores from two tests. You either provide all the results from the first test, of all the results from the second.

Definitely, this is totally not acceptable.

Sorry to create some confusions over the questions.
I am definitely not looking for mix and match or something like that. Clearly only one set need to be submitted.
My question was whether my old set of scores will be void or not if I reappear for the IELTS and based on the scores, can I submit either of the sets (which has better score ofcourse)
