Indi- canada - Wrong advice. Please ensure that your advice to others is valid.

virendraforyou - Your wife can take the IELTS test and it DOES add points to your CRS. Also, getting an ECA for her will also fetch you more points.

It is not mandatory. But yes, as Raj has pointed out, you will get points for her IELTS.

You may also check if you can gain any additional points for work experience (if any) that she has.

Yes. If she has Canadian work experience, only then you can claim points for her work exp. Otherwise, NO.
 
Raj, I think he is talking about the CIC profile and not for OINP.

If its OINP - I agree only Canadian work experience counts.

CIC - All work experience counts.

Well, no! I don't think so. I was talking about CIC eligibility only. Spouse exp does not unless it was received in Canada.
 
No points for Spouse work exp , if it is outside Canada ----- CIC, OINP ,EE etc....
 
I stand corrected. I made a mistake and assumed the points there.
