Hi my sister wants to apply for canadian PR through FSW but now we realized that the IELTS score she has is of ACAdemic. She is on Temporary residency in Australia and no date is available for IELTS general until Jan 2015. by that time Express entry would be launched and she would no longer be eligible to apply in the NOC list. Can someone suggest what to do because we are thinking of applying with IELTS academic but scared if they would reject the application or are there chances they can just ask for a General IELTS score. please reply asap

There is no point in applying with academic IELTS. It is an automatic rejection. Better wait for general test and apply afterwards for whatever program is open at the time.

Application would be returned, in case IELTS Academic is submitted. There are clear instructions on cic website... You guys should have planned it accordingly..

Only GENERAL IELTS will be accepted.

Academic IELTS is only good if you are applying for schools.

The other test which is also accepted by CIC is CELPIP
check if you can manage to take it.

there are lots of institutions that you can book the ielts test.

universities, IDP, Navitas, etc.

try to ask around.
