It took a while, I think I sent it off Aug 8th - they said they sent the first one on the 11th - that one never got to me. They send me another one...nothing...Then my Mom called again, they send one to her right away - she scanned it (why didnt I do that earlier???) and emailed it to me...at the same day I get the Original per Mail. What a waste of time

Seriously?! OMG, now I'm scared. I'll call them right at 2am. I only have 2 weeks left since my CAL expires on the 17th. They better don't screw it up! And yeah, I thought about that, too - why the hell did I not send it to my dad!? Meh, too late.

hey marlee, I got my police certificate 1 maybe 1,5 weeks after I submitted the application. So you should have by the end of this week or the beginning of next week. theyre usually much faster than the 3 weeks they tell you.

I was surprised that the work permit was approved so fast. I submitted everything on August 30th! I dont know if it helped that I had my med exam uploaded as well but I guess that is not usually like this and I got pretty lucky.
Anyways, dont worry about it, youll get yours pretty soon as well. It might be a good time to apply since it is the end of the year.

I didn't submit my file yet (well, obviously), so I could still make changes to my form. If I can be honest about applying from Canada, of course I would prefer to do so. Thanks in advance!

O9: country where applying: Germany with dates from date of birth to date of submission of your application
current mailing address: my address here in Canada
residential address: home address in Germany

Are they asking you guys for a med exam as well?

No, they never asked me to submit a medical exam. I am not going to work in health care or with children. Neither did I visit any country on their red list.

No just call them again, just in case! In the end they send out three copies of mine, so I'm sure they wouldnt mind sending one to your dad.

I called them last night and my police certificate has been sent out on Monday. It should take 5 days to get here, so if it's not there by next Monday, I will ask them to send a second one to my dad in Germany and he'll send it to me by email.

In another thread I got this answer from someone who also got his letter just fine:
Country of residence: GERMANY
Country where applying from: GERMANY
Current Mailing address: GERMANY
Residential address: GERMANY (OR SAME AS CURRENT MAILING ADDRESS)

So I guess the current mailing address doesn't really mater too much...They don't actually send any documents by mail anyway or do they? (I've provided an email address)

Can I ask you what address you put in in IMM5707 - Germany as well?

My police certificate was there this morning! I just uploaded it and submitted my CIC application. I never changed my address though - everything I provided was my German address. Now I'll have to wait...I'm excited!!! :-X
