question...

for ECA we only need to send our latest educational degree right?

for someone who has done bachelor's degree he/she only needs to send that and not the older documents like secondary degrees right?
Yes, only transcripts of highest education. No need for secondary. Get assesment done via WES only.
Please do not go via ICAS.

So they are up to mid August now, I am surprised, I thought they would only be at the beginning. Mine is in the queue from 2nd Sept, so I hoping it should be processed within the next week or so...

What was the credential you were having evaluated?. To me that sounds like they have evaluated it to a high school diploma, so 5 points, which is very worrying.

I am having a UK NVQ Level 4 assessed and if they do the same to me then that is the end of our FSW hopes... ???

Sorry but I still don't understand what your qualification was that you had evaluated. What is a '3 year regular diploma'?
Also, you say you have had an evaluation done by WES also...if they have given you 19 points what's the problem?

Regards

look at this below, ICAS is only looking to mint money. they dont even care if application will be delivered on time!!!

So, even with the courier service I will not be getting the report by end of December 2014? Am I correct to assume that?

Assessment Officers are currently preparing reports for files for which we received complete documentation on, or before, August 11, 2014.

There is a significant difference in delivery time for items shipped by courier vs regular mail. Items sent by regular mail can take weeks (up to months) to arrive and cannot be traced.

Thank you

I can submit the form if it will help to expedite the delivery.

Please help to confirm by what time my report will be ready to be shipped out. From there I can estimate the difference in the time taken for courier compared to normal mail.

Yes - if you would like to order delivery by international courier, you can certainly do so. The fee for international courier is $85.00. Please complete the attached form. My application has been in queue for assessment for a month now. Can I request that my report be sent via courier because I am extremely worried that I will not be able to get my report on time before December 2014. What are the charges involved for that?

A truly awful company. Also, there is conflicting information here.

This timeline was posted above

11/21/2014 Assessment in Progress
08/19/2014 Application reviewed for completeness and placed in queue for assessment
08/13/2014 Additional Info / Documents Received
07/31/2014 Documents reviewed, awaiting official documents
07/22/2014 Additional Info / Documents Received
06/25/2014 Application Received

Which shows an application from the 19th August being processed, but in your dialog they claim they are only up to 11th August. I have no idea what to believe now.

Plus their website is just COMPLETE LIES!..it currently says...'For applications received on September 8, 2014 and earlier, the estimated processing time for an assessment is approximately 10 weeks from the date on which all required documents are received in our office. This is an approximate processing time and is not a guarantee. For applications submitted on September 9 or later, the estimated processing time is 15 weeks from the date on which all required documents are received in our office'

Well that's total rubbish as my application was placed in the queue on 2nd Sept, which according to them should be approx a 10 week wait. Well its already 12 weeks and if they are only up to the 11th August then its going to be at least another 3 , maybe 4!, making it around 15-16 weeks!.

So they are just lying to everybody.

ICAS considers date they actually received documents in office. As you see above, as per online status my documents were put to queue on 19th AUG. But my complete documents actually reached ICAS office on 11th Aug. They took 9 days just to update status online.

So they are currently working on 11 AUG. I am not sure how will they wrap up work before 31st DEC. I also updated my file to courier few days ago by paying extra $85. They are truly worst and slowest.

Guys,

I am sure ICAS will deprive a lot of people from submitting their applications with the deadline of 31 December. I have no sign of receiving my ECA from them. Good enough, I had to switch to WES in September. Received my ECA in November and now submitted my application to CIC today, 3 December . Thanks God I did. I would have been so worried, because it is obvious I cannot get my ECA from ICAS after four months of complete receipt of my documents.

We need to pass it across that NOBODY should patronise ICAS in the EE scheme. Let's send them out of business. They are a bunch of disappointment.
