I want to sponsor my sister

Hello, I hope you can help me with my sister's situation.

My sister is in Manila. She is married with no kids with her husband. However, her husband used to be married (first wife passed away) and has 5 kids with his first marriage. out of the 5 kids, only one is dependent to her husband (the kid is 13 years old); the rest of the children are already with their own family.

My question is... Can she declare in the application form that between her and her husband, they have no dependent? OR, can they only declare the 13 yr old kid as their only dependent and not list down the rest of his children as they already have family?

I checked my income and I am qualified to at least sponsor 3. Also, my sister is already 48 years old and the husband is 55 years old. I don't think age would matter because they are healthy and I believe are still in good health to work here in Canada.

I am single, never been married, not in a common law relationship. both of my parents are deceased hence I'm in a position to sponsor one relative.

Thank you.

Why do you keep changing your story? Are you an incompetent immigration consultant? Or are you just playing games? Either way - probably time to report you to the moderator for deletion. Here are your past posts all from this week which do not at all match what you've said above:

I have a question actually. I have a sister in the Philippines and I want to sponsor her together with her 2 kids. He situation is: she's long been separated with her first husband (more than 10 years now, actually - no divorce, no annullment, no legal separation arrangement). She still carries her former husband's last name and her first daughter carries her father's name. The second daughter carries my sister's maiden name as my second niece was born our of wed lock.

My parents are long gone and I am alone here in Canada; no relatives. I meet the income criteria, and I have a stable job.

Given the above circumstances, can I still sponsor my sister and her dependents?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I have another question. I have a sister who has a son turning 19 next year in January and is on his second year in university. My sis was never married, doesn't have a common law partner. Can I sponsor her? How about her child? Can I include my nephew as her dependent if I file the sponsorship say next year? She's actually self-employed back home... will that affect my sponsorship of her?

say I decide to sponsor my sister and she's in the states and is illegal immigrant... part of the sponsorship requirement is for her to submit police clearance and medical certificate... how will she able to obtain the police clearance from the USA and medical clearance as well?

For the application form, will her address be her country of origin?

In that case, keep all of your discussions in one thread to give it some context.

CIC website has all the necessary information, the guide, procedures, forms. etc.

If you need help, consult an immigration lawyer for assistance as your case/category is not common...so we don't know much

Hi.

Goodluck kababayan!

you can only sponsor one. so figure out who's the fav and then come back with a clearer scenario. also once any of them arrives, he/she can't sponsor any other sibling.
