I really need your help guys!

I am very depressed and worried. Can anyone please advise me?

I have applied to sponsor my parents from India. Their file is in processing in New Delhi. They were asked to do their medical and already submitted the passports. During the medical exam they found out that my dad has heart problem, which we were not aware of. I have a feeling that they (a) they might ask him to do Angiogram or (b) they might reject their application.
My dad doesn't want to do the angiogram, since it is a painfull, and expensive test and he has no intention to go for any heart surgery what so ever.
Can anyone tell me that if we refused to go for Angiogram with the explanation, what can happen?
If they reject their application, does it make sense for appeal and how lengthy is the procedure.

I know it's a difficult situation, loking for some help.

Sorry to hear about your dad.
If he is rejected because of his health, you can appeal. I've seen appeals that were allowed when the applicant's health was the concern - the sponsor had to promise to pay for any needed care and/or the applicant had to swear they would not seek treatment for the condition in Canada.

I can imagine that if they ask for your father to go for the angiogram and he refuses that he will probably be considered inadmissible. You don't get a choice in this matter, its either do it and see if they'll let him in or don't do it and give up all hope. sorry.

But like canadianwoman says, it can be appealed if he is found inadmissable, but I doubt you'd be granted an appeal if he refused to even do the test.

Wait to see what immigration decides they want.They may not say anything you wont know until they review the results.It might not be as serious as you thik.

So sorry to hear about the health condition. If it becomes a problem with immigration, is there any way that you could give reason for not having the angiogram? Could you use religious views as an excuse for not having the procedure done instead of personal preference? That might help his case if CIC is concerned. Good luck, and I hope well for your father's health.

Immigration will not let anyones religious views stop them from doind a proceedure,if they request it and he refuses then they will refuse.There is only one religious part of this whole application they will accept,and thats marriage as it has been the same for years.But it strictly states that if your medical proves you will be a burden on the health system you will be inadmissable.
And as of yet i dont think he has been told he needs the proceedure correct.Wait to see what immigration decides to do.

But if the father refuses to complete the medical, then the appeal won't go very far. The IAD can't waive the medical exam. The can approve the appeal on medical inadmissibility but not if the applicant refuses to complete the medical

Do you guy think that if I give them in writing that my dad will never go for any heart surgery(which is very true even if he doesn't get the visa due to his age), they can waive the angiogram procedure? Or I have to wait until their decesion of rejection to say this.

They won't waive any procedures deemed necessary by the Regional Medical Officer to assess your father's health. And as PMM said, if they request a procedure and he refuses to have it done and this results in a refusal, there is no chance to win at appeal.
