LANDED !!!!

I landed at the airport today (early morning)

landing was easy and quick.. immigration officer took my copr .. did some paperwork, made me sign infront of her. and told me my PR card will be mailed to me in 7-8 weeks and told by the time i wait , i can apply for sin, exchange my dl, apply for healthcard..
and thats it. she stamped my passport and gave me my copr. and then she congratulated me and welcomed me to canada.... and i was done..
i was out of the airport in less than half hour..
so, now I am officially Canadian PR..
moreover I am with my husband (which matters the most)

Well my MP just sent an email today to my VO to know why my hubby's passport is taking 7 weeks now. I believe in few hours I will get a major break since they always get back to her one day everytime she requests info from them. All the best to everyone. Don't worry about the strike they are working but they stop doing overtimes to reduce the back load until they get what they want. The good news is they are working.

Yes I will update it tomorrow when they reply. I am doing two things at the same time. One is sponsorship and the other one is my citizenship wich I don't push too because I will get it next year but I need my hubby close to me.

I am still waiting because someone told it might take 45 working days for the passport to be sent back and that 45 days will be tomorrow. I am waiting this week and I cannot wait to blow the whistle. How are you copping with life in Canada?
