Hi BrazilianGirl,
Thanks my dear. No actually my Medicals are expiring in November so they did not want to extend them and they email us if we'd like to land before the expiry date of our medicals so we said yes. But the police clearance expired a week ago. I really wish you good luck Girl.

Ye Simb,

Finally finally finally...lollll

I just got "application in queue for final review" from nairobi office. I already sent them all documents including passport, except that my medical exam is going to expire very soon.

Anybody knows how much time they take for final review and will I need to do medical exams again?

Hi nigelo, to me you are almost there. I remember I was sick and tired of the words “under review or final review". Basically when they say under review it means that there are some jobs to be done on file when it comes up on its bring forward date or even before if the officer still need to work on it. However, final review would simply mean that the file will be look at for the last time and the same day the officer will make a final decision and there will be no more bring forward date on your file. You don't need to worry Nigelo you are warm and dry as far as I see your case. Your second question: Nairobi will send a medical extension request to the Regional Medical Office if the officer sees that your medicals are stopping her/him to issue your visa. Do you understand it now? There is no need to panic stay positive and probably next month you will get good news from them. Thanks for reviving this thread again. Let me know how it goes. Stay blessed!!!!

You're welcome my dear. :) all the best to you!

Hi Amanda. I was it's reading this thread and I have a question.

My husband had his interview nov 22 and I checked with my MP as to what's happening with our file. They said we now have a bring forward date of feb 6 2014. Does that mean they're not going to look at it again until then? We have medicals recieved since September. I hate to wait 2 months to know if my husband even passed the interview.

Thanks :)

Hi Can/alb
From my experience, when there is a BFD on the file the officer might or not open it until the day S/he assigned to work on it. In case the officer requested documents, medicals or background check and at the arrival of those things at CHC s/he is forced to open your file and further review it even if it is not the BFD. In your case there was an interview which I believed went so well and there is not documents requested from you, they will probably wait at your BFD if vo is busy. But I strongly believe that all is well. Did the officer ask for your passport after the interview? Which could be an indicator that he or she was satisfied with your answers, Keep me posted I'd love to hear more from you dear. Stay positive and blessed.

Hi thanks for responding.

Thy asked for his passport and my notice of assessment for 2012. We already sent the passport in at the beginning. They kept everything and told him after the interview he would get an email with the decision. So I was thinking we'd hear sooner than later.

Could the bring forward date been put there before and now that they requested the interview and doc could they be moving forward? It just seems odd. Obviously they've done the relationship check and medical. Only thing left is background? From the chart on ecas, we should be close to DM.

With all that said, I will wait as long as it takes as long as it's not a denial. That would be horrible to make someone wait 2 months for that decision. My husband said it went well and he was there for 20 minutes. They asked basic questions about us and sent him in his way.

You don't need to worry about anything dear. Since they are quite it is a good sign that they are working on it. Since they did not return his passport at the interview I am 100% positive that they are satisfied with his application and decide to continue till the end. Soon you will celebrate lol. I wish all the best Can/alb. :) :)
