Hi Gregor,

Wondering if you can help with this issue. I recently received my invitation to apply for the IEC working holiday visa through the UK pool. It asks me however to give employee ID number and has my employer paid the compliance fee. I did state that a company was willing to employ me in the "Am I eligible Question" section and they still are. I am confused at why I am being asked for them to pay when i am being invited to apply for a open working holiday visa? I filled out the am i eligible section again without this job offer and was still eligible to apply. I am really worried that this will give me a closed work visa based on a technicality. I was aware theat the UK could only obtain open working holiday visas?

Thank you in advance

First, please don't use a thread started by someone else to ask different questions, better Create a new one.

I never used IEC so I don't know anything about it.

Who's asking you to pay?
CIC is always asking to pay some fees.

For IEC if you have a job offer your category is Young Professionals, otherwise it's Working Holidays.

Please create a new thread and myself and more people will try to help

Yes But she told can apply under Young Professionals category.
Hi Gregor,
I did apply for a young professionals visa - I got the invite, but missed to reply to it - it expired. However, the letter that confirmed the expiration says that I can reapply which I tried, but the online system gives me an error messages, saying "I am already in the pool" even though the letter confirmed I am not in the pool and in my dashboard under submitted applications > IEC > Check Status & Messages > Am I a Candidate it says I am no longer in the pool.

I tried to withdraw the application (like suggested in the help center) and followed the instructions. The instructions says just click on the withdraw button, but there is no withdraw button for my submitted applications (!!!). I contacted the technical support via my account and the web form.
Did you ever hear about this kind of issue? Have you ever dealt with the technical support. Please, I need any help or shared experience I can get. I am eligible to apply for the young professional visa, I have a job offer, and all the means. You have no idea how sad I am about this. I finally found my dream job, got the offer, quitt my old job and now this? My current visa runs out at the end of april this year (work and holiday). Then I cannot work here anymore because the system doesn't let me. This is so depressing.

Thanks for any shared advice!

I never used IEC but I had a similar issue with EE profiles.

I tried to create a new one but always got a "error".
Problem was I didn't delete my previous profile, and I was no able to do it because I got a Invitation.

Sometimes technical issues are due the system isn't friendly and we don't know how manage it.

Try to look in the system again or ask some friend to the a look, sometimes we can't see the obvious.

Also, call CIC with you profile opened and try to get detailed instructions.

There're some CIC offices were you can request a meeting, but I don't know if for this issue it's possible, and take some time.

Even if you fix the problem, it's NOT guarantee you will invited again (except if few Germans are in the pool), so consider alternatives if you want to stay here.

It is a known technical issue.

The pool system for IEC is new this year and the glitches are still around and causing issues.

The people that I saw this resolved for had submitted the technical query and had their profiles removed that way.

THAT IS GOOD NEWS! Do you happen to know how long this takes? I submitted the issue via the web form and my account under "report technical issue" (Better be safe). Were the people able to submit a new profile afterwards and got an invite again?

Thanks!

I've double checked - they submitted a technical query and also a CSE (https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx)

I'm not sure which got them the quicker action but yes, they were able to be back in the pool and received an invite. They were Aussie, so there is no quota and pretty much everyone is getting invites, not sure how the German quota is going at the moment?

Right now the quota for Germany looks good:

Quota: 400
First round of invitations: December 16, 2015
Final round of invitations: To be announced
Invitations issued to date: 206
Spots available: 357

So my hopes are up. If the technical support manages to get back to me asap, I can re-submit a profile, wait for the invite and apply! Hopefully all works out hey...I quit my old job, because I finally found my dream job ... so I really wish to stay here!

Hi ozlis, It just occurred to me, by 'technical query' do you mean the 'report a technical issue' button that can be seen when you login to you CIC account? Or is there any other technical query I can do? I asked for support through my cic account and the web form, did I miss another one?

Thanks in advance!
