hi,

I reply to your other post but i don't think you read that one. Anyways, are you the one being sponsored? if so, are you done with your medical yet? coz if not you cannot get your medical done if your trying to get pregnant soon. so it will add up more for the processing of your application, no matter what happen you have to get your x-ray done. If one of you is canadian then you can still be together outside canada, otherwise the sponsor would have to stay in canada for the time being if the sponsor is only immigrant. I know you want to have a baby so bad but think about your situation as well. but again, if you really wanna do it go ahead. just take all the consequences if you do that.

Hi, are you with your husband right now? if your done your medical already get pregnant now.lol, don't be offended you are in the stage now that pregnancy is very sensitive or getting pregnant is even harder..so, try to conceive before they ask you to redo your medical. anyways, its valid for 12 mos and pregnancy is 9-10 mos, unless you got a problem with your medical they will ask for re-med earlier than 12 mos. just to remind you that the baby will be added in your app and will include in your husbands target income, and you have to inform them once you get pregnant by the time of processing. or if the husband is canadian the baby will be a canadian as well.

Hi,thanks, oh my hubby its working in Edmonton, so he isnt in caracas, he will come on december to visit me and back to work on january, so i cant get pregnant lol but we were talking about to do that next year, when he'll back to caracas, but now we are just planning that , he wants babies , so im still thinking about it, yesterday i read embassy times and they did post 70 days for 1 step, so they always change process time , so wow, what can we do...... i know we need wait ,just that but its hard , of course im here and continue with my life , but everyday thinking about the process and if the embassy will give the visa, and im worried cuz we met online 4 years ago, and got married 1 year after, and i was reading that immigration minister is working hard to stop many cases, sooo , i know those rules are for convinence married , but officers sometimes are really strong and not matter what you say, my relationship is genuine and we can prove it , but im latina and they think that all people from latinoamerica is bad or make fake all the time, well you know always reading bad news from newpapers or embassy web. your idea its not bad lol, but well i need to make some changes here, i was so sad cuz i saw the time here in caracas office, 22 months to me was hard know that, and well i told to my hubby i dont want wait anymoreee for my life lol with you and babies, cause your embassy time or stuff or whatever, so now i feel better , and well just waiting , to learn more about the process.

Thanks for your attention and help :D

This process is hard on everybody, however I don`t think that the visa offices cathegorize people as `bad people` or `good people`, no matter what their race or background is. They are doing their job and it is your job to prove your marriage. If you are done with the medical part, you can try getting pregnant but keep in mind your medical can expire and if you need a new one, you may not be able to get the X-rays done. Is your husband a Canadian citizen or a PR? If he is a citizen, your child will inherit his citizenship, if he is a PR, he needs to sponsor the baby as well in order to get both of you here.
In my opinion, I would wait with the baby-project, there is a lot of uncertainity while the sponsorship is in process, there can be twist and turns, you might get rejected, and even if you are approved in a shorter period of time than 22 months your life will dramatically change with moving to Canada and adjust to your new life already. The decision is ultimetly yours, but having a baby is a lifetime commitment and responsibility, if you are consciously planning it, choose the `right` time.
I wish you well and luck with your application!

Believe me ... you are not the only one that is frustrated with the wait times and uncertainty of it all... or for living your life and having children.

I am pretty sure everyone on this board that is having to wait this out apart from their spouse feels the same... so try to relax because it is not going to help you or your situation to be so stressed out, and it certainly decreases the chances of getting pregnant.

I can tell you from experience ... I would wait till you are finished the process and settled here before having a child. Of course the decision is ultimately yours and your husbands...but I would really stress waiting....because if you are denied you are looking at a long time of "single" parenthood and having a child does nothing to speed up the process. Infact would you not rather share the experience together as a couple??

Anyway... just my thoughts.

I had a baby while in the immigration process - I love him more than I could have ever understood and wouldn't change a SINGLE thing...BUT it has been incredibly hard. We've had to do some big time compromising and changing just so we can be together as a family while we wait out this immigration biz.

Also - remember once you get to Canada, you'll only have to work a certain number of weeks before you qualify for one year maternity leave! Yay!
