Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I'm doing a PhD in BC. My CRS is 425. I just got ONIP. Should I accept it? I still have 2-3 years in my PhD. Does that affect the "intention to live in ON"?

By the way, I got L:8.0 R:8.5 W:7.5 S:7.0 for IELTS. If I retake, how much improvement will there be on the CRS score? Is there a formula somewhere?

Seniors, please help.

Yes this will definately create hinderance in your intent to reside in ontario. I would not advise you to accept this as you might get rejection from ontario during assessment of your application.

Congratulations. You already have CLB 9 (or more) in all the sections of IELTS. You do not need to retake IELTS.

Thanks! That's good to know.

I have been desperately trying to improve my score. However all my work experience were TA and RA, so "no work permit required".

I applied and got PGWP after masters, and then decided to go for a PhD. I'm holding both study and work permits, but the work permit is about to expire. Is there any way I can improve the score?

Also, anyone knows about BCPNP? Anyone got PT interest letter from BC?

I lived in ON for 3 years and even started the phd in ON before transferred to BC with my supervisor. Can I state that I have stronger ties to ON than to BC?
