Hi,

If, at the time of submission you had 3 years of experience, then your reference letters should show this clearly. In this case, and though you mention 2 yrs or more, it won't harm, and the VO should capture this, nonetheless I suggest you write a letter to explain this error.

However, if you claim that now and after you submit your app that you cross the three year experience, then, I'm afraid you can not claim the extra two points.

It depends on which scenario you are in.

Cheers

According to OP6 you can claim additional points as long as you submit additional document before any desicion has been made here is the link...see page 23 of this link..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf

Note: Any documents received and added to the file prior to the date of the letter, regardless of whether
or not the 120 days have elapsed, must be considered. Visa offices cannot refuse to consider
submissions made after 120 days, if the letters in either Appendix D or E have not been sent. It is
therefore important to produce the BF reports, make the final determination of eligibility and send the
letters promptly.

Valid point chinay, thanks for bringing this up.

However, what would be the case for someone who crosses the age of 53 during processing, will this fact reduces his total points? Of course not. This is why I think the points are fixed at time of submission. This is referred to as locked in date in the OP01, 5.24:

"Lock-in date

The lock-in date is a reference point used to freeze certain factors for the purpose of processing applications. Neither the Act nor Regulations define it. It does not overcome any requirements of the Act and Regulations that applicants must satisfy when an officer admits them. Regulations in effect on the lock-in date usually apply to applications submitted that day. Changes in regulations after the lock-in date do not usually apply to applications submitted on or before the lock-in date. See also section 5.19, File Transfer. "

However I still feel that sherydesire can argue this.

Cheers
