Being in a dilemma, I am requesting your opinion on my POF status. We have done our medical last week and preparing the docs for PCC and bank draft. We are aware that we need to keep intact our POF to the required marginal level till the visa processing date.

My concern is how the VO will check my bank accounts details? Will they ask for POF doc to me or they can directly inquire to the bank or other places to check the fund capacity. I would appreciate your suggestion and please let me know the best option where the situation is that I am making the transaction from my bank account.

Regards,

thanks Vermas for sharing your success story
It s a Big time encouragement for those coming behind that we will make it
I salute your positive spirit

and i m wishing you all the best in your career :) :) :) :)

Friends - Nine months after arriving in Canada and eight months after working in a contract position with a reputed bank here, finally I have been regularized in a permanent position. I am happeir than ever before. I love Canada and braving its winter well. Want to celeberate my permanent job with a short holiday with skiing and ice scating.

During these nine months I have cleared RIBO and CSC certifications which have help me in my financial services career here.

Best wishes to every one!!!!

Wow Verma congrats!!!
Can you please tell me how to get started... I am also from a finance background. Do you suggest me to do some course in India to enhance my skill as I am applying this may. I have 10 years experience in bank, telecom and general insurance.

Ho Verma really glad to see that your are prospering in Canada. just wnat to check isn't RIBO mean Registered insurance broker of Ontario, how is it connected to Banking..

Further do you have any idea about job prospects in insurance field, may be even at starting level

Hi Roshmi,

CSC (for stock market) and IFSE (mutual funds like AMFI) are the best suited for banking jobs. RIBO is genenal insurance related course like IRDA. Banks having insurance divisions such as TD Insurance and RBC insurance require RIBO in Ontarion and other relevant certifications in other provinces. You can google serch and start familiarizing yourself with these courses. Indian courses (except IT certifications) will have no value here.
I am an Indian and was here earlier on a student visa and applied from here. My file was processed by Buffalo and New York.

Best wishes..
