Visa Office......
Lagos
Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Yay! :D I finally got into the institution of my choice after a long wait. Pease if anyone knows the visa process for Nigeria should please help me. I've read that it takes up to 12 weeks to process is that the minimum time or maximum? And has anyone got their visa in lesser time?

Thank You!

First thing you have to do is apply for CAQ without it you want be able to apply for study permit.

CAQ takes about 30 days to get. After that go to

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp?countrySelect=NG#applications

It has all the required document for your country

Thank You Badi. Where do I apply for CAQ and how do i do it?

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/electronic-services/caq-electronic/index.html

Go to the bottom of the page and fill in a new application. Please make sure to read about the documents you need in order to prepare them. After u fill in the application u pay the fees online whicich is 110$ and then u have to send the documents to some address.

Hi Inuwa2
I don't want to sound pessimistic but you have to talk to your supervisor for a possibility of deferring your admission to Winter 2017 (Jan 2017) while you still go ahead and apply for your CAQ and study permit. It is good to let him/her know, beforehand, the short time that you have to get these documents. As for study permit application from Nigeria, the time stated is an average, therefore, it could take a little more or a little less.
I wish you well.

congrats on your offer! you need to hurry up now and apply for your study permit. If you have been around this forum you might have seen the numerous amount of posts from people waiting for their sp. Some members have been waiting for almost 4-5 months. I myself have been waiting for almost a month to hear back from CIC. So do you research as to what you need to do next, plan accordingly and get on with it or you will risk missing out on the fall semester classes. Good luck

Hmmm.... Now that you mentioned it, I'm thinking about going to UK with my admission from NewCastle or to USA Drexel Uni... It's just they are too expensive compared to Concordia. I have been at home since December 2015 and applied to Concordia since late January and just got the decision. Waiting till like Winter will definitely be hard for me. Anyway Thank you for the advice

I got this from CIC website

"Students do not have to wait for the actual CAQ before applying for their study permit. As proof of their acceptance, they can simply submit MIDI's letter of approval.

When you apply for CAQ you will recieve a pdf that you can use to apply for study permit. Rather than waiting another months or so fo the actual mail. Thats what they mean

U have to defer it till Jan2017
Cos I applied since April 18th
With upfront medicals and no word
From them till now.
Study permit takes a long time
U hav a prepare for the wait
