Initially, students were saying they received AIP from Edmonton. However, Pakistani students who received AIPs yesterday said no office was mentioned.
I’m feeling this September AIP wave is coming from Abu Dhabi. Is there any way we can confirm office of these September AIPs?
They came from Edmonton. There was CPCE in the subject and I happen to receive GCMS notes the same day and primary office was Edmonton in that.

AIP drama part 2. People are getting letters that AIP was received due to system glitch.

They received AIP yesterday.

Professionalism at its peak. "

- Found on a Facebook group.

What is even happening!

Going to share the same. As per the post on Facebook, three people received this letter after AIP. I already felt something was wrong and initial AIPs was sent out by mistake/error after AIP holders start receiving refusals.

It's Pakistan Student Association Canada (PSA-Canada) group.

Still, coming back to the point. It's just really quite unfortunate guys. I get that the pandemic changed a lot of stuff, but it wasn't our fault, was it? And the fact that they're straight-up refusing applications after over 170 days in waiting just shows that they really don't give a damn about us students.

That’s true. I feel like we’ve done a huge mistake by trusting Canada and the immigration. It looks like even an AIP holds no assurance of a visa. Quite disappointing and highly discouraging.

This could be the good news

Feeling sorry for you and rest of the students who received refusal due to this glitch and also there is something wrong with Abu Dhabi this time and they are not giving decisions on a true and fair basis. However, I'll suggest you order notes and address all the VO's concerns and come again with stronger SOP. Insha Allah next time you'll get it.

Argh, the time to contact call centre has passed now and offices are closed till Tuesday. I would have called and inquired about it from here if it was posted before 5 PM today. I had AIP of a family member which I could have inquired about. Anyway, let's leave it till Tuesday now.

I just checked GC Account and there is no notification yet for this glitch.

A Pakistani student in another group who received AIP yesterday, he received this letter in GC Account as well.

I see this

For example, applicants who pass the preliminary eligibility assessment may still be refused based on eligibility reasons once biometrics are collected. Once services begin to resume, applicants who are able to submit missing information or documents previously requested of them will begin to do so, at which time the application will move into the second stage of processing and officers will process the application to finalization.

Not the case with me. I applied on 10 March. Biometrics was done and confirmed on 13 March. Medical passed 25 June. Received AIP on 17 August. Rejected under eligibility reasons on September 03.

After AIP absolutely NO new information came to light in my case. I didn't defer. I was going to start online classes. No deferral, no new docs, nothing. Yet I still got rejected.

Ordered GCMS Notes, let's see what they say. But yeah, I think it's safe to say that IRCC and especially the Abu Dhabi visa office is like a raffle draw, totally unpredictable right now. NO Pakistani student got a visa after January 2020 till now. That speaks volumes.

I just hope this changes. My heart aches.

This is very sad to see. IRCC is just playing with the future of students. This is not at all fair. They should stand by their words. Rejecting people after issuing AIP on the grounds of eligibility is freaking stupid.
