I think you should choose employment and in the "Please describe what this person was doing during this period (e.g. job title, position, etc.)" write unemployed and travelling. And in the "Please provide the name of the company, employer, school, facility as applicable" write "Not applicable".

Just a suggestion. Not quite sure myself.
Thank you cosgrec! :)

Congrats to all those who got an ITA.. All the very best for those who are waiting in queue (or boat?)

please let us know if any one got ITA thru PNP's? if yes, then what score did you hold?

No one should've gotten ITA through PNP for this round because the PNP EE Stream is not even out yet; however, we should see more applicants with PNP nomination for the next few rounds, for most of the EE PNP Programs should be out sometime in February.

Hi,

Congratulations everyone who has an ITA. I am having 'technical problems' with the online application. In the Personal Information sections all the information is correct, yet when exit and log back in it says 'In progress'. I click on it, press check for completeness and it shows up as complete.

Also, when I've completed all the sections of the application and go to 'Continue' to hopefully generate a checklist of what documents I need to supply I get an error message saying:

Our Online Services Are Currently Down
System-generated error code:null (2015-02-01 20:46:32)

Sorry

This on-line service is currently not available.

Possible reasons::

We are currently updating this Web site.
We are experiencing technical difficulties.
Please try again later.

I've been getting this since this morning. Anyone else had this problem?

My working permit is supported by LMO then that's why I got 600 for arranged employment.
You got it because you said that you have LMIA when you created EE profile.
Lets hope that when yuo send your documents that wont charge you for misinterpretation.
I too have LMO but will wait till I got LMIA to apply just to be safe.

According to this source LMIA = LMO

''Is the worker currently in Canada under a positive LMIA/LMO?

If yes, skip to candidate steps
If no, an LMIA is required. Continue with employer steps''

IMHO: government will be making a lot of unannounced/unnounced adjustments to the program according to their needs/economical/political situation in the country.
For example they can stop issuing ITA for those who have less than 900 and start giving ITA to those 400+.
I will explain. Let's take this scenario:
45 years cook (Noc B) without education, low ielts, etc. but with lmia has 890 points - gets ITA - brings his wife and two kids and immediately starts getting benefits (health card, kids' financial support, etc) for the whole family. Does it help to boost economy? You don't have to be financial guru to answer: no way, he will be milking the economy. So looking ahead and taking into consideration that the main point of the program is to bring skilled, educated, qualified people to the country will make them to reconsider the real value of points.

No the point of the program is to safeguard Canadian jobs, that's why LMIAs get such an advantage, because they can only really be obtained if there is a genuine need for a foreign worker, when a company can't find a suitable Canadian or Permanent Resident.

If that cook is a specialist in a particular cuisine and the restaurant cannot find a Canadian to fill the role then that's a prime example for an LMIA to support a PR application.

However just because an EE candidate is very skilled in their profession, if there are plenty of Canadians who could do that job, an employer can't get an LMIA and the foreigner sits at the back of the queue, since there is no need for them while there are qualified Canadians.
