I don't understand why they can't just reply to our confirmation email with a copy of our COPR and get us to print it out ahead of our call?

I am wondering whether now I know that my COPR won't arrive in time if I try to reschedule my telephone landing appointment?

Has anybody successfully rearranged their scheduled interview time? My only hope is that the COPR arrives today as my phone call is 5.30am-8.30am tomorrow morning (Vancouver). The recent comments about CIC not even printing COPRs promptly does not bode well. Otherwise I guess I will have to schlep to the border at some point before Christmas.

I live in Vancouver so I'm pretty sure my COPR won't arrive in time, even if it was sent out straight after my call with them. This time of year is busy for Canada Post too with holiday shopping/parcels and so they will be delayed also.
I live in Vancouver also, and I just lost all the hope that my CoRP would arrive on time. I also got an invitation for Express Landing on Dec 6th and replied right away. My phone interview though is on the 14th (in TWO days) but nothing in the mail box. Did they mention anything else to you? like where is the CoRP being printed off? Regular mailing? Xpress Mailing?

Nothing else was mentioned I'm afraid. I wish I had asked more questions or asked if they could email the COPRs to us instead. I was just in shock that it was yet to be printed, let alone sent my mail!

Well, if you have never gotten PPR before and only the Express Landing invitation, you cannot apparently use the same CoRP to land at the border. You would have to mail it back and then get another CoRP for landing at the border. That's what I've read.

I'm so sorry to have made you lose hope that it will arrive. Maybe give them a call and see if yours has been sent?

Oh wow I didn't realise that. So we return the useless phone-version-COPR and await the usual process, i.e. PPR via email, COPR via mail, then border crossing?

Oh please, no worries. I want to manage my expectations properly so I prefer to know what to expect. Otherwise, I keep hoping myself I will finish this process soon when the reality is completely different. I just don't understand why isn't there more information on the process.

YES! isn't this absurd? The useless telephone CoRP has a different coding than the "regular" CoRP that prevents an officer at the border from signing it. So if we miss the telephone interview for whatever reason, we have to go through the normal process. However, we will have to incur an extra cost of mailing the useless CoRP, then once we get PPR, mail the photos and passports or copies of passport and THEN make a trip to the border to change status... Jesus Take Wheel !!!

Me too. You would expect that they would have come up with alternative plans in case of COPRs not arriving in time etc... I don't care if this is a pilot scheme, they had to have thought of contingency plans in case of this happening other than go back to the old process.

Ah and I suppose we would then be at the mercy of their timelines again, since my online account still shows no change. Yet I'm supposed to be landing via telephone. Throughout all of this wait I still don't 100% know that my PR application has been successful - the waiting in limbo is agonising!

Thanks for sharing your insights. Good luck! Hope yours arrives on time.

another big issue is they are not giving another appointment (it seems like that) as though its candidates fault
We can understand delays but as a courtesy for people who have opted in why not give another appointment and finish it off
anyways given the one week time line they generally have between email and appointment (for no PPR folks) they are going give trouble for many others in future as well

Yeah, exactly!

I am wondering if anyone has had success in rescheduling their telephone landing ahead of the call? Rather than waiting until they are on the call to say they haven't gotten their COPR.

I'm trying to decide if I should see if I get the COPR by Thursday morning (hahaha) or if I don't whether I call up ahead of my call and ask to reschedule?
