Hello. My english isnt that well so i apologize for that but i have a lot of questions where i might need help. First thing first, i want to move to Canada to be with my partner of few months but also escape the toxic and abusive household i live in. A few people had recommended the conjugal partner sponsorship and it didnt look so bad and duable but there are still issues. there is a medical exam i have to do and well the issue is that i cant do it as u only can do it in a different state where i cant go due to my cultural and religious father. He is strict, not allowing me to go outside alone, tracking my every step and forbidding a lot of things. my relationship with my partner is also a secret as he had threatened me to harm me if he ever caught me having a relationship. So now im just lost and worried. I dont know what to do to be finally with my partner and leave the abusive household. please someone help me.

Sorry for your situation. Do you have a passport? How long have you been in a relationship? How long in person? So partner is PR or citizen so how did you meet? Does he financially support you?

First, you really need to apply for a visitor visa. If you get visitor visa then you come to Canada and there are no immigration barriers for you being together.

I have an Austrian passport. We are in a relationship for just a few months, probably like 5-6months and sadly we never met in person yet. Hes a citizen and we met online. He did reassure me he would provide for me.

Visiting Canada is very scary, not because im scared to leave Europe for the first time but because im afraid i will have to go back to Austria after the visit visa is over. I will be disowned from my family so i wont be able to go back home and maybe even get “harmed” as i would be committing a big sin that would cause me to be in trouble, my father and even strangers from the same nationality would try to “hunt” me down and punish me for being a shame to the religion and family.

TRV processing is about a year. Be careful because you don’t even know this person in Canada. Could be a scammer too. You have not even met in person and only have known him for a few months. You are not conjugal as there are no immigration barriers for you. He could come to Austria or any European country and meet you.

Bluntly, do not leave to visit Canada in these circumstances until you are VERY certain of yourself, the situation and the person you are interested in - meaning you have to have at least met that person AND have backup contacts in Canada.

I would gently suggest that you should look into resources closer to home to assist you first.

Meeting me in Austria is risky too as i am not allowed to go outside alone, only with a family member (no one is supportive so..) and he is tracking my phone. I really trust him as i know a lot of him, i saw his face and he had sent videos before, plus he already told his family about me so we really want to make it work.

Im just lost and dont know how and what to do anything. so it basically means its nearly impossible for me to leave my toxic home and live with him?

No. Get an ETA and if you want to come to Canada then do so. We are telling you to be careful about meeting a stranger in Canada who you have never met in person and have known only a few months. He might not even be real or posing as someone else.

I don't think conjugal will work since there is nothing stopping you from becoming common law.

You would need to obtain an eTA and then fly to Canada. Once in Canada, you would then live here for a year straight with your partner to become common law. Then your partner can submit an application to sponsor you for PR.

So that it's clear, it is impossible for your partner to sponsor you if you have never met in person.

Ok so, was is ETA exactly? Sorry im really clueless about all that. And would i be even able to really stay for a year and do the sponsor? Would there be a risk of me having to get back to Austria if something goes wrong?

Maybe I am more paranoid but I would meet the person in a public place first. And tell a friend where and when. OP has never met the person.
I'm not suggesting marriage or residing together AT ALL on first meeting. Indeed I think lots needed to make this safe.

But I don't feel qualified to comment in much more depth.
