I applied and received AOR for Citizenship in June 2024. My Indian Passport is expiring August 2024. Should I renew or wait this out ? No travel plans

I guess this is personal preference, and I have no travel plans in this year or in the fist half next year.
Considering the current citizenship processing timelines, is it worthwhile to apply for Indian passport renewal ?
I am going through the BLS website for the procedure to renew and I dont find any available appointments. Processing time is minimum 2months, let us say it is 3 months from now. If I proceed I can have a renewed Indian passport by Oct 2024 only to surrender it later this year.

I was thinking, if it is worth going through this hassle or I might just wait for a Canadian passport!

Based on past trends when could June 24 applicants get Oath and the new passport ?

If you are ok with not traveling even in case of emergency then getting Canadian Passport is a better option. Police verification which gets triggered for Indian Passport is a cumbersome process and dealing with BLS is another which anyways you have to deal with for SC and OCI.

Mat renew kar agar travel nahin karma bank to..
Focus on Canadian entry exam (aka citizenship test)

imagine let say you renew spend money, deal with BLS and spend your time to get the renewed passport
Then you get your citizenship and get your Canadian passport
And then surrender your Indian citizenship and cancel your Indian passport and then again deal with BLS
Agar isse mann nahin bhara to OCI ka process karna and deal with BLS.
It’s 3 x fun to deal with BLS in that case
