I wasn’t aware that Manchester is the SF of the UK and also didn’t call it tiny. I still don’t believe the statement that they hire anyone even without programming experience yet those with actual real degrees from u of T and Ryerson had no skills.

I don't disagree with you. I've worked at a few tech companies in Manchester and have never worked with anybody who had no paid experience whatsoever. I once worked with a junior game programmer who had done paid indie work and then was given his big break in the company I was working with at the time but he was in his mid-20's and certainly wasn't fresh out of university.
