Hi there!

I am getting ready to send the passport out to Detroit office (I was Buffalo but got transferred). I am the only one who is applying for the PR but I have NON accompaying children from the previous marriage who are American...and one from my current marriage who holds dual American/Canadian citizenship.

According to the instructions there are 3 things that I must enclose: Family info, passport who are immigrating to Canada, and 2 pictures for everyone in my family. The exact letter is pasted below. Please help me understand what I need to do...

My question is that do I need to list my dual citizen (Canadian/American) child in the family info? They only gave me enough space for my non Canadian children.

And do I need to submit 2 pictures of everyone including all my children even they are not accompanying and one Canadian citizen..and my Canadian citizen husband? I am sooo confused! I thought I only had to submit my photos since I am the only one landing and not anyone else??

Please help!

<<<1. ENSURE YOU PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION FOR YOU, YOUR SPOUSE AND CHILDREN EVEN IF THEY
ARE NOT ACCOMPANYING YOU.

2. ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ENCLOSED VALID PASSPORTS FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY WHO IS
ACCOMPANYING YOU TO CANADA

3. ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ENCLOSED TWO PICTURES FOR EVERYONE IN YOUR
FAMILY. The photographs must be unblemished as they will be used to produce your Permanent
Resident Card once you are in Canada.

It does sound like they want pictures of non-accompanying children. That's weird.

yeah I thought the same thing too..it's weird. Fortunately I found 2 extra photos of all of us from earlier. I enclosed them and also wrote a note that they are not accompanying me. I did not enclose any photos of our dual citizen daughter or my Canadian husband since they do not need a card.

The reason I sent was those photos are good til the end of November and hopefully avoid anymore delays if they indeed need to have them for some reason.
