Hi, Me Again ;)

I just had a flash, we are currently filling out the paperwork for my husbands sponsorship. However, I am filling out his as well as he does not write in english. We live together and we are doing a little bit everyday. Is this going to be a problem? or does he have to write everything in Italian and the CIC will have it translated?

Please help....Thank You!!!

The CIC definitely won't have it translated. You would have to, but it would cost a fortune.
There is no problem with the two of you working on the forms together. Ordinarily when the applicant doesn't know much English or French, the sponsor just explains the questions to him or her, then writes down the reply. It is important that the applicant understands the questions and answers, even if he can't actually read them himself, because the visa officers don't like it when the applicant signs something he can't understand. This may come up in the interview, in which case he just explains the two of you worked on the forms together, and he asked you to explain any questions he didn't understand.

If the applicant doesn't know any English or French, then there is a place for a translator to sign. It would be simpler and cheaper to just say the two of you worked on the forms together, if he is ever asked.

Thanks Canadian Woman...thats great news! with all the money that is being spent on everything else to get this package sent out :D

Hi there I just wanted to tell you I filled out the application for my husband too. He does not read english well but can understand it when someone speaks to him. So there is a section in the application that ask did you use an interpreter? I put my name in that section then I sent an explanation of why I filled this section out. I was told to do this by the help line. I should tell you everything worked out fine with our application. My husband had his interview and was approved. I hope this helps you. You really just need to know that he understands the applicaion in the end, because he is signing it stating that he does. Good luck :)

Thank you, everythhing is great. He has started school and has a part time job. I'm glad I could help. Good luck :D
