Is it possible to call my parents here on H&C grounds?
I am a Canadian citizen here

H&C for parents is far from guaranteed and if denied they will have a hard time visiting in the future. Is there something that differentiates your parents from the other parents applying for H&C and would lead to needing an H&C application versus waiting to be selected for PGP?

It looks like you already applied and got selected for PGP but didn't meet LICO for one year so you have had the opportunity to sponsor.

on what basis would they reject HC applications?
on what basis would they give you hard time to re-enter if HC is denied?

I am at my wits end with lottery PGP system my mother has been left with nothing by my father and my goal has been to bring her here. She has no home and is living with her sister since my parents separated.

H&C cases continue to be processed if you leave Canada. If approved you can come back to Canada.

Not a great idea to leave Canada but some have no choice they have either been removed or must leave for family reasons.

I've heard from the immigration lawyer that H&C process has been faster. Is that true? How did you all get the police certificate from your country? It'll take about 2 month to get here...

Yes processing has become faster. It was 2-3 years but is now anywhere from around 6 months to 2+ years,

I too want to apply for my mum but worried if application is refused then she wont be able to come back right?
