The Ontario government site says I need a letter from the government stating that I have driven for more than 2 years if I want a full driving license transfer. It doesn't say from who!

Who do I get a letter from? I've lived in three different states. I've been in Canada for almost three years, so I need a transfer if I want to drive.

You get the letter from the authority that issued the license you want to exchange. It says so right here.

If you've lived in Canada for three years, do you have a US license from any of those three states that is still valid? Did you drive in Canada in the last 3 years?

I've been to the site but what authority and what letter are they talking about? Do I just write a letter to the DMV asking for...what? I lived in Florida for 7 years, so just that State should be enough, I hope. I still have my license from Florida. It doesn't expire until next year. I'm sorry if this seems stupid, I just want to make sure I get the correct document.

I stopped driving before my six months in Canada, because my US license covered me for the first 6 months. I'm in the process of getting a PR (in the waiting stage).

It's essentially a verification letter that your license was issued by the Florida DMV.... I think a 3- or 7-year driving record works in this regard (if you want to go far back past the 3 years you were already in Canada).
