I've been to the site but what authority and what letter are they talking about? Do I just write a letter to the DMV asking for...what? I lived in Florida for 7 years, so just that State should be enough, I hope. I still have my license from Florida. It doesn't expire until next year. I'm sorry...
The Ontario government site says I need a letter from the government stating that I have driven for more than 2 years if I want a full driving license transfer. It doesn't say from who!
Who do I get a letter from? I've lived in three different states. I've been in Canada for almost three years...
I should be getting my OWP in the mail soon, I got an email from CIC (finally! yay!)
I know I need to get a SIN. Do I need anything before I start working?
Also, can I do contract or freelance work...I know that might be considered self-employed and I don't know if that's allowed. (Like...
I'm not sure about the details so get a second opinion, but I know on the application they asked for documentation of marriage, photos of wedding, and information about where and when it happened and who was there.
That's what I'm hoping! I panicked when I the email. I wish they would make everything more concise on their instructions. I feel like we get a dozen different instructions in different places. I called the CIC to make sure I didn't need to reapply for another visitor visa extension.
I applied for PR inland via common law this summer. I got the email and linked my account and I submitted my Schedule A online. It's all pending. I got my new visitor visa extension, just in case. Then last month I applied for OWP via instructions online, but it didn't say anything about an AOR...
I called the CIC call center and they emailed me instructions for the OWP application...in the email, it says I should have included an explanation letter (I didn't!) and that I should receive an email saying that I'm eligible for applying for a work permit and an AIP...I haven't. I mailed it to...
The instruction pages keep saying I can apply for an OWP online, but I don't see anywhere do that logged into my account? I try clicking the apply for "visitor/student/worker" button, but I just lead to the PR application.
How do you apply online?
My PR application was accepted and is in the review stage. I know that's just a waiting game now. But I had to renew my visitor visa extension. I'm still waiting to hear back about the extension. Am I allowed to apply for the OWP while my visitor visa extension is pending?
Our inland application was received this summer. I'm waiting on my visitor extension to be approved. Thank goodness my PR application is finally in review! Do I have to wait for my visitor visa extension to be approved first before applying for an OWP? I'm implied status right now. I have to...
Oh, ok good! Just trying to plan ahead for options. No, I wasn't sure if my application would go through and I saw you could apply for owp after the PR started.
We're in the review period of the common-lar PR application for inland. I'm looking into getting an OWP while we wait since it can take forever...
My question is can I work as an artist under the OWP? Like selling art and doing commissions? Basically self-employed or contracted.
Got the email to link account to the application. Done. Then came the request for the Schedule A. I did it online right away. Hit submit and everything...but on my front page for the linked account it still says "Action Required".
But I did it! :/ Is this normal? Or is it best to mail it in?
We finally have an email from CIC and our application is being reviewed. Just submitted Schedule A.
Is OWP open to all inland PR applicants? I know it takes awhile to get an answer from CIC about PR, so we were wondering if it's worth applying for an OWP now.
We sent in the PR application on May 22nd. They received it because I got the text, but since then I've not heard a thing. No emails. No letters. We tried calling but the call line keeps hanging up!
Is this normal? It's taking forever... That's 7 weeks. We're on week 8 now.
We sent in the application (for the third time) on May 22nd and haven't received a letter or email or the packet back. Is that normal? That's six weeks of nothing.
I've been wondering if it's within the rules for me to make money from blog/vlogs as a spouse waiting on PR with visitor's pass living in Canada. I know I can't sell products from Canada, but are writing jobs for blogs ok?
Thanks in advance.
So on the site where you collect the documents (the CIC site), is says NOT to mail in the Schedule A form IMM 5669 until they ask for it. BUT on the document checklist, it wants the form and two photos that come with the form. ??? What gives?
Do I send in the Schedule A form anyway with...
