Hi All,

I understand the call center agents frequently goes through similar question and frequent calls of status request which I assume they do not know, however I called CIC this morning it most likely landed Montreal based call center and faced really rude agent who doesnt even want to ask my UCI kept telling have patience and I am wasting my and their time >:( ? Interestingly this is not the first time I face and hear similar response. Did anybody face such problems and are there any options to report to CIC such unpleasant response agents ?

I know somebody thinks they are exhausted and have no info, however I was probably the very first or first 3 callers he received and we have a rights to ask for the information on our file.

Any thoughts ?

Yup, I called once worried about whether I was on implied status. The guy kept sighing and saying hat was up to me to work out. Which is fine, but he told me to ask a real question or get off the line.

Then while I was waiting for my lmia answer my work permit application was refused as they hadn't had an answer about my lmia (2 months). When I called I said that I hadn't heard yet either and it was still in progress.

She just kept saying "well you should have kept calling and telling us".

I think they are overworked and stressed... but they also have people's futures in their hands (at least for advice).
 
Hang up and call again. There is nothing you can do when the agent is a total jack***, you'll be just wasting your time.
 
I understand that as an option, however getting another CIC agents after 8:30 AM almost next to impossible, not sure if they distribute work load or add extra resources to manage call volumes.
 
Is there an official way of raising complaint to CIC authorities ?

Ah, nah dude. I'm not sure there is a way. It's not really a business per se.
