how to send passport to chc-london from india?

hi guys

i got ppr from chc london requesting passport for stamping but the prob is i cant send my passport to london. i m really in bad situation and i think again i have to put up new file already i m away from wife 5 years.

anyone can advice me wt should i do? can chc-new delhi help me in this matter? can they send my passport behalf of me to chc london?

i m really in bad situation. please help me.

Don't you have a reliable courier service in India? Fedex or DHL are mostly very reliable. You don't want to miss the opportunity!

hi

i asked DHL and fed ex and almost all courier services but they refused to carry passport although i showed them all document sent by Chc-London for requesting passport to stamp visa on it. as its illegal to send passport from india to abroad.

now i dont have any option left , i have to miss this golden opportunity to be with my wife. this indian law r really stupid.

today i m feeling very unlucky that i have born in this stupid country.

Rayan, is there any way you might be able to fly and get the visa stamp in person? Also, any possibility you can mail it without saying what it is? Can you not just declare the package as 'Documents' or something of that nature?

You need to fly to London yourself. Don't miss the chance. It's illegal to courier passports in or out if India. Borrow money if you have too.

I feel for you rayan. But like everyone said, do everything you possibly can to fly to London yourself.

Another option could be... maybe fly to a country where you can sen your passport via courier to London and wait it out.. I dont know just thinking...

i cant go my self to London because if i even apply from India visitor visa for UK it takes even 25 days something and that also not sure whether they will give me or not?

i was actually student visa in London and then end of 2008 i came back India because my father got paralyzed. in mean time appeal immigration division approve our file they interview my wife in Canada and it was fin. then file went back to London for further processing and before 2 day i got an email from them that they need my passport for stamping visa as this is final process of my application.

i just don't know what to do? i asked help from chc-new Delhi too but i know they cant help me in this matter as my case processing office is London.

i have even mail to chc-London as well about my position. i am waiting for this day since 5 years. my wife is also crying that what we can do in this difficult situation? i am feeling really so unlucky today.

i think the best thing to do is send an email to CHC London, ask for an extension or more time to comply and explain to them the reason why. are there countries where you are visa exempt, meaning you don't need a visa to visit/enter? maybe you have relatives or friends where you can stay in that country, send your passport from there and also use that address for London to return your passport (with visa) to?

I really feel for you. so sorry to hear about your situation. What i will suggest is dont even think to send your passport Canada (by any means) and then to london because you know our indian system and how it works. if you do so then immigration people at the airport of india will ask you that how u got ur visa even though you did not even travel to canada and london? as its illeagal to send your passport via dhl, fedex etc etc. you know what i am trying to say. its a big headache.
call your london office and let them know about the situation. they will surely tell you what to do in this case. also, email them as well. Do not worry keep your hopes up. london office might ask Indian visa office to stamp your passport or they might move your file i do not know but I know they will come up to right solution.

why is it illegal to send passports in and out of India?... just wondering what the reasoning behind it is.

i've read of a lot of people in this forum have the same problem as the OP...

this is correct rayan that chc london must know thats its impossible for u to send passport from india so if u will call n email them they will surely give u the right way n also u can contact ur MP may be he could be of som help by talking in embassy

actually my cousin who is coming India next week from Canada if i write authorize letter and send my passport with him to Canada and from Canada he will send it to London office. then London office will directly send me by register post in India?

because as per indian passport authority say i cant send out of india but i can authorize someone .
is it possible?
