Go to the website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en
· Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed
· Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”
· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant
· You must also pay this fee for your accompanying spouse or common law partner, if you have one
· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490
· Click “Submit”
· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format.
For fastest service, please attach it to an email and send it to the address CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca and copy CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

And any ideas how much time does it saves?

It doesn't save any time. Just one step complete from our end. That's what it signifies.

I just did the online payment and have my receipt now. I've filled it out to include my UCI and address/birthday/phone information and re-scanned it. My application is at the stage of having been requested for the medical, but I have not had the medical check done yet (I'm going on Tuesday 12th).

I just wanted to hear advice from anyone who has done the next step of sending the scanned receipt to CIC via the two email addresses above.
- What did you include as your subject of the email?
- Did you need to write a letter or note in the email explaining the early payment?
- Was there a receipt or return email after you sent it to those addresses?
- Is there an update on ECAS to say they've received your RPRF?

Thanks guys! I feel like I'm very close now and don't want to stumble at the last hurdle!

Extra questions....

Since it seems a lot of applications are being done from CIO in Nova Scotia these days, and I'm not sure where my application actually is right now, should I send the receipt to an address at the Centralized Intake Office as well? If so, what address? My AOR email has an address of CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca for the purpose of updating them about status changes... would that be a good email to include?

Should I just send it to a whole bunch of CIC email address and hope one of them is correct? Or would that just really annoy them? ;)

Oh, and now I'm seeing on other places that there is also this email: CIO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca

So confusing... I wonder if it's best just to wait for the request??? At least I already have a receipt ready to send them.

Anyone have thoughts? Who here has had the request email and knows the correct email address?

Sorry to be annoying... lol. ;D

Hi Quink, how are you?
Two months later after you posted your queries about paying upfront RPRF, I just came across your posts and was wondering what's your current status now. Have you paid your RPRF or still waiting? Have you heard from CIC yet? If you have Whatsapp, lets chat @204-801-1657.. Chat soon.. :)

Hi kaladhar,

I ended up sending my RPRF receipt to a bunch of emails with all of my case info (name, address, case number, etc)

CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca,
CIO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca,
CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca,
CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca

Of these four addresses, I got auto-replies back from three of them (CIO-Cost-Recovery did not trigger a response). I don't really know if that was the right thing to do, but I'm guessing the worst that can happen is that they won't process it any quicker and I'll get the request email anyway.

Since then I haven't heard anything at all so I don't really have any updates. I've been thinking of calling them to ask, but haven't found the time yet. I'm active in the December thread, and there's been some recent discussion about this - there are some users who have done what I've done, and some who are waiting until they are emailed. However nobody has any news yet, and I think it's just because they haven't gotten to any of the December applications yet! It will be interesting to see what happens when some of us start getting the RPRF emails.
