How to order CAIPS Notes ?

-How'd they link ur file?
-If u don't have a file No. there might not be anything logged as well.
-And, as u don't have a file No. it'd be too early to fetch ur CAIPS/GCMS notes.
-Where's the need?

Still you can order CAIPS notes before the AOR; two examples:

1. "Before receiving your Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)

If you have not received your AOR then your CAIPS file will probably not have been created yet. But, requesting your CAIPS notes can confirm whether the visa office has started processing the application or not, especially when there are delays in sending out AORs." http://www.caipsretriever.com/faq.htm

The CAIPS file can be requested with just your full name, visa office, and the date of birth. Both, caips/retriever/notes.com r business entities. They don't care about our necessities as long as we obtain their services & pay them. The bottomline remains that when we don't have the file No. - pretty much nothing would be logged on the system - then where's the need to fetch it?

As reg. the know on whether the VO is working on it or otherwise, our e-CAS is good enough to ascertain that. Why waste our greenbacks on unnecessities? But yes, if the $$$ r immaterial we could definitely be their guest.

100% agreed with you Captain.At this point its useless to order Caips, as well without file its impossible.My experience.

Sorry, this is not waste of $s.

In a situation, when you didnt get your 1st AOR for long, it is the best to order CAIPS notes and there are many cases. So they should go for it.

If you have a friend or relative then you would get that for 5$ without using these commercial companies.

But the bottom line is that - you could get CAIPS notes without file no.

I dont think so. You can order CAIPS \ GCMS yourself and get to know whats happening in your case.

Yes, you can. I did it twice. If you find some adverse/wrong comments/notings in CAIPS/GCMS, you can bring it to the representative's notice for timely redressal. It happend in my case, regarding my salaray and relative's points and we got these corrected. We mentioned to the VO that we noticed these from CAIPS notes.
