Hi,
I am an Indian student and am about to apply for a Canadian Study Permit to begin my studies in September 2016. Right now I am unmarried, and my family is planning my wedding with someone who is already in Canada (and has his own immigration documents) in August 2016. I can not wait until August to apply for a visa, as it will delay my registration in the university.
In the visa application form I must mention my current marital status as 'single' because I am not married yet and have never been married before. Moreover, there is no space in the visa application form to mention any extra comments. However, when I will fly to Canada in September, I will be married.
I do not want to hide such an important information from the immigration authorities. Hence, my question is, how to notify them about the plan for a change in my marital status? Also, is it possible if I apply for my student visa as an unmarried woman and declare my new marital status after I arrive in Canada?
Thanks in advance.
