Should the salary be mentioned from financial year ? In India the financial year is from april 2014 to mar 2015. So if I had to mention the annual salary should it be mentioned from 1st march till april ?

Or should the salary be mentioned from Jan 2015 till Dec 2015 ?

Why are you complicating things?
You need to mention how much salary you received for every 12 months of work with that particular employer. If you have worked in India, then you need to mention INR XXX,XXX OR if you worked in USA, you need to mention USD XXX,XXX. Use the International standard for the currency of that particular country. It has nothing to do with Financial Fiscal year of the company.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
recently, i've received a reference letter from my previous employer where i worked for 3 years.
They just mentioned like ................................ His last withdrawn annual salary was Rs.xxxxxxxxxxxx

Is it acceptable to CIC.

thank you;

In my letter, I got it mentioned from April 1, 2013 to Mar 31, 2014 because this will then match with the tax statement Form 16. It doesn't matter whether you have Jan to Dec, or Apr to Mar, but it is better to have it matched with any other document that you have, for example official annual salary letter, or tax statements.

Guys you only need to mention your employment start date and employment end date with that employer.
You only need to mention Annual Salary was INR/USD/AED XXX,XXX.
Even if it is mentioned as Rs. or $ - it is still fine.
