I have a new born in the family, how do I include her details? The form asks for a national id which I do not have as yet since it would take 4-6 weeks for the SSN to come in and a couple of weeks after that for the passport. Since the infant doesn't have a national id, what do I put in?

Get a notarized affidavit or document and submit it. As long as the document is notarized it's valid.
I did the same for my 8 year old son and it's been considered by CIC.

Your baby's national ID can be its birth certificate number. I had the same problem and it worked.

1. If the OP is asking about the NIC, a lot of countries don't issue them, i.e. the US, and if the OP is asking about the Social Insurance No, then s/he is the US and should just put N/A.

Thanks for the responses. FYI....I am in the US.

The challenge is that the infant is just born on the 10th of March and I have only 20 days left to submit the form. I am 100% sure that I won't receive the infant's birth certificate or SSN number till then. And with without the birth certificate I cannot apply for a passport either.

THe form still demands a national id, may be I will put NA and then explain.
