Hallo everyone
I am going to address a topic which concerns all most every member here. I wander if you know of any mechanism by which we can complain about the delay of our application processing times to CIC. THeir site does not show any method to complain, ecept when you complain about your lawyer to them!!
YOu know that when we send inquires to visa offices they keep telling us the same things for years,,,,,I Have been for 2 years in background check for example and I can not know why my file was stuck in this stage. I do not even think that they really check my file when I ask.

SO is there any official way to file a complaint other than a lawsuit?

Nothing can be done from our side except for waiting on it. Luck also has part to play in this which is not in anyone's control.

any official board in the world has a mechanism to file a complaint,,,,,,,CIC can be no exception!! there must be a direct way to complain

I thought of complaining directly to minister Kenny but I think 99% he will not listen or answer my e mail.

When He is the man behind this delay, to whom can you complain???
Ofcourse, litigation is the only way out of this mess; Even that this guy has managed to reduce to 20K applicants only through his law as part of the Budget Bill.

Read the below document thoroughly and then you'll probably understand why all these issues

The announced plan of Keney was to eliminate the pre 2008 backlog so that by 2013 they will have no more a backlog. I am one of the 20,000 pre 2008 applicants whose application were not closed,,,thus he should finalize these cases as a priority
Here is a link to Campell COhen where thy tell the steps they do when an application is delayed. You see there are 3 steps before a lawsuit. NOw I wander how can we do that ourselves

You should have joined the litigation of Tim Leahy. CIC will process applicants who are part of 20K and part of Tim Leahy's litigation within 180 days.

Following two ways will be effective :

Write a letter to Case Management/Case Review at Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) headquarters in Ottawa, Canada – Our letter will explain that the Canadian Immigration Visa Office processing your application has gone beyond its services standards with respect to your file and request the Department’s intervention on your behalf;
File suit (Writ of Mandamus) in the Federal Court of Canada – Our suit will ask for an order that would require the Canadian Immigration Visa Office to bring your application to final disposition in a timely manner.

True he is the man behind every delay. Anybody knows when his tenure will be over ?

It is not the minister or any govt that delays application processing times. The reason is the applicant - ignorant and disrespectful to the system of immigration. Violating laws each day, making false staments. The fact is that, we all know that there is a criteria and eligibility for each file to be processed. Despite that, people send incomplete files, fraudulent documents, and so many things that make the processing delayed.

Last year more than 250,000 immigrants entered Canada. That means, they are processing these many files every year. BUT a significant amount of time and work force is busy in finding out who is genuine and who is fraudulent as well.

New Delhi VO is the busiest in the world fighting with fake IDs, certificates, marriages, and I cannot even name all the docs, the list is so long.

When there is a quota of 20,000 applications (FSW) a year and the website shows the approximate number of files received already, despite that people keep on sending their documents. If you see, it is just this website blog (canadavisa) that has so many applicants we see posting one or the other questions, there must be so many other forums and thousands of people even do not use these forums, who are applying for immigration.

I will write again when I get time again, as there is a lot to understand for everybody really and just not criticizing the ministry or system for the delays in processing. Just sit back and think a few more reasons for this and you will come up with 10000000s.

Good luck.

... U May be partially right sir but my friends who applied at the same time with fake experience letter reached to Canada but me , who had all genuine docs still struggling here to get medical what do u day in that case sir? Thanks

Process has changed drastically....days are gone when you submit the docs (real or fake) and they accept without scrutiizing in detail.

Even for coming announcement for FSW, the process for education documents has been changed a lot. Earlier notarized copy of certificates , marksheets was acceptable but now not easy.
