Colombian here. I've assisted on several TRV applications for self, family, and friends, and I've always used a
translation company in Colombia. They charge around $10-$15 per page, unless the page has too many complex words (like a contract). In that case, they charge per word. I also used them for my study permit, work permit, and PR applications. No issues at all with IRCC.
Make sure you use an official translation company, not some random dude that learned English on YouTube/Duolingo and translate documents in Word using Google Translate. Normally, this official translators add a footnote on the translated documents with their certification and contact information.
I also used
The Spanish Group at certain point, but they are not cheap.
I had to use
https://atio.on.ca/directory/translator/ when I wanted to translate my Colombian driver's license to use it as driving experience in Ontario. But for IRCC, you can use a company in Mexico (or any official company in the world that translates from Spanish).
I agree with this. Although not mandatory, it wouldn't be a bad idea to translate them to French instead of English.
