Hello!

Anyone knows where or how to find a translator companies that is fast and is accepted by IRCC for Mexicans ? There's so much conflicted info online and also scams / bots advertising their companies I feel so lost. This is for a visitor visa.

Thanks!

I am in Quebec, does this change anything ? Our application is mostly in english
I agree that it can be done anywhere, but if you/partner will be settling in Quebec, it might be more convenient in future to have copies done by a Quebec based translator in French (if ever needed with provincial authorities). A very minor point.

But the feds accept either, no issues.

Colombian here. I've assisted on several TRV applications for self, family, and friends, and I've always used a translation company in Colombia. They charge around $10-$15 per page, unless the page has too many complex words (like a contract). In that case, they charge per word. I also used them for my study permit, work permit, and PR applications. No issues at all with IRCC.

Make sure you use an official translation company, not some random dude that learned English on YouTube/Duolingo and translate documents in Word using Google Translate. Normally, this official translators add a footnote on the translated documents with their certification and contact information.

I also used The Spanish Group at certain point, but they are not cheap.

I had to use https://atio.on.ca/directory/translator/ when I wanted to translate my Colombian driver's license to use it as driving experience in Ontario. But for IRCC, you can use a company in Mexico (or any official company in the world that translates from Spanish).

I agree with this. Although not mandatory, it wouldn't be a bad idea to translate them to French instead of English.

Thank you so much! I was able to use your link to get one that did it for 650$ for 17 pages which sounds fair,

The Spanish Group gave me a quote for almost 6000$. You weren't lying about them not being cheap lol.

Update.

We ended up using Rodrigo Salvador, Member Number: 04-08-4034. Associated with STIBC.

I am listing him in case someone find this thread through google because we were just amazed by the speed, low price and quality of his translation. He was three times cheaper than most translators I contacted and did our 17 pages documents in just 7 hours. He was also super friendly. Really recommend him if you are in a hurry. Our lawyers reviewed his translation and said they were perfect, couldn't find a single thing to change lol.
