How to check if the money order is encashed or not ?

Hi All,

Sometime back I have applied for PR under CEC. Till now, I did not receive my AOR. The mode of fee payment was using money order which I took from CIBC. Recently when I went the branch and enquired whether the money order issued was encashed or not ? They have mentioned that it was encashed but they do not know when it was encashed.

Also, When I called the CIBC customer care, I was told that they can never keep track of the money order which was issued.

Can you guys tell if there is a way to check when the money order was encahed ?

Hi, I used the same method of payment. Call your branch and request a "trace" of the money order, it took 3 days for them to get back to and confirm the day it was cashed and the receiver. Good luck
