How to bring Canadian Newborn back home....

Hi,

I won't make things complicated.

-Im a Canadian Citizen by birth (i understand my child will automatically be a Canadian)

-Married to a Pakistani spouse (we have a long timeline in Islamabad 32 months). Unfortunately, she will give birth to child aboard (Pakistan)

-I understand I have to apply for Canadian Citizenship certificate for my Canadian Child (in CHC-Islamabad which takes normally over 6 months)

-I understand there is an option where I can apply for both CCC (canadian citizenship certificate) and LVP concurrently (limited validity passport for a newborn). If i can convince the visa officer. (My point being my wife is close to getting spouse visa and we would like to return home back to our family been 2 years already apart).


That is the information I know. What I would like to ask is what else can I do?

If you can provide a plane ticket showing that you and the baby will be leaving soon, then they may issue it sooner. They did this for me and my son. Our visit visa where my husband was living was about to expire and i just asked them and showed them I have a booked ticket and they issues it sooner for us.
