1- Did u take this exams in USA only ? Or its exam centers are also outside USA ?
2- If u did take exam in USA Colorado, how u obtain the USA Visa for this ?

Hi Jojo,

1) CPA exams are held only in USA.
2) You can register with any board where you fulfil theirr requirements
3) You can take the exam from any prometric testing centre in the US
4) Getting US visa is not easy. I had a visa for 2 years and expired before I took my last part. I had to wait for 10 months (rejected visa thrice) and then issued a visa.

All the best

Hey SetCanada,

Hi Panks
I guess you had send notorized copies of Bcom,CA,CS etc during your application to new delhi chc thats why ur worrying about transcripts.
Buddy International Credential Assessment Service of Canada ask me to send transcript of our qualification plus copies of marksheet thats their rule...
Some agency like facsusa may or may not require transcript but this canada agency is asking me to deposit transcript for evaulation
Have you send transcript or notorized copies of marksheet during initial Application to chc new delhi?

Hey Buddy....I had sent notarized copies only...and yeah I have written a letter to CHC for extension of medicals..though I havn't heard from them yet....ok, how I can get transcript of my qualifications...which is the agency who will do this...

Hey Panks,

http://www.icai.org/post.html?post_id=653

The above site tells about how to obtain the transcripts from ICAI.

For obtaining the Bcom transcripts, I applied through my college. College has a standard form to fill in and fees which they forward to University and give you in few weeks.

It is advisable not to open the transcript envelope they give us..

Regards

Hi Panks hope you got your answer from pshhe Just go through that website and send application to ICAI with demand draft enclosed you will get transcript in 7--10 days and it is always recommend to order 2 transcript that will be very useful in canada & saves lots of time
Pshhe what is the status of your application from CHC?
Any progress about sending docs for evaluation and transfer of CPA score?

Setcanada,

I had sent my full docs on May 31st to Delhi..got the confirmation no. and the status is 'recd by the office'...I am waiting for the status to change so I can ask for my transcripts frm ICAI and my university...thats abt it..meanwhile i was thinking of doing the dip in IFRS...
what do you think..

Regards

Hey SetCanada/Pshhe,

Thanks for your input....just to confirm, I would not require transcript for Dip in IFRS or CPA as they international certification....right?

Hi psshe
Diploma in IFRS is a excellent choice i guess PANKS has done it ...Panks can you through some light on it and some body told me UK IFRS is good do you have any idea about this?
Panks i dunt think so CPA transcript is required as im also not asking for it..only CA and B.com transcript will be fine if any thing from canada agency i will let u know.

Yeah SetCanada.....I have done dip in IFRS from ACCA, UK only.....this is quite a renowned diploma....you just to clear one exam of accounting. GTG is one institute which provides classes alongwith study material for the same. I didn't take any class but used GTG study material, i think it is good enough to pass the exam. You can go through the following link as to how to register etc. Now you need to register below Oct 15, if you want to take Dec'10 exam.

The exam is a 3 hours descriptive paper....you just need to get 50 marks to pass the exam.

I hope this helps....please let me know if you have more questions.
