Maybe clarify what your status is whether a citizen, PR or a student for example given there are slightly different approaches applied.

All the information is readily available on the CIC website

i am a student and my spouse is on work permit and his work permit is expiring in June so now i want to apply spouse work visa for him...so i want to know the complete procedure...

Post your question to the International Students section of the forum.

Hello

I submitted my application on 7 March 2017 in Canada application. Application was received on 7 March 2017. I received sms to verify that it was received.

I received email to say application is in process and to link my account online on 23 March 2017. So it only took about 2 weeks to receive that email.

Hopefully the rest of the application can go this quickly.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get first stage approval so that i can apply for OWP online?

Did you include an OWP application with your inland application package?

No i did not. Which i now realize was a mistake due to the longer period without work. But i can still apply for a work permit now by sending the application to vegreville according to the cic website.

So my question is, should i wait for AIP and then apply for OWP online or should i send the paper application to Vegreville now?

Your previous posts state that you applied outland. Unless you have withdrawn your outland app and reapplied inland, you do not qualify for an OWP.

Coming to Canada after applying outland doesn't make you an inland applicant. Did you actually apply inland?
