Dear All,

Is there any particular sequence in which the experience has to be added in the EE profile?

As when I used the CIC points calculator, I got a total of 372+ points, while when I made the EE profile, I got 353 points.

As all other factors, are calculative & have a specific points linked to them automatically like Age, IELTS etc.

However, work experience Outside Canada is also a data entry kind of thing.

Kindly guide, as I'm supposedly losing on 20+ points here.

Thanks in advance.

No such requirement. Re-check all the information you've entered and, if you're applying with your spouse, that section as well because the quantum of deficit seems too low to be coming from major areas.

Yes, indeed Im applying with my spouse, & when checked CIC, it was also with her only.

But somehow there is this gap between CIC Calculator & EE profile.

Hi,
I also experienced a similar thing. Can you comment as to what is the correct way of entering the work experience?
e.g. If one worked in a job from 12 Jan to 31 March, next one from 1 April to Apr 30, next one from May 1 - Aug 17
Would you write, Jan-Mar, Apr-Apr, May-Aug? or
Jan-Mar, Mar-Apr, Apr-Aug, to show continuity in work? I had concluded that the system might be counting from 1st day of 'start month' to 1st day of 'end month'.
Please share your thoughts.

No. The system isn't granular till the date field. So there will be times you'll have to enter Mar-Apr for instance to indicate that crossover between 31 Mar to 1st April, weird as it sounds.

Hi Asivad,
I am still not sure what you mean by 'granular'. If I write March 2011 to May 2011, is the system treating it as March 1 to May 1 or March 1 to May 31?
Could you please elaborate a little on this?
Thanks for your help!

It appears to be treating it as the 1st of the month.

For instance, if you exited one job on May 7th and started the next on May 30th, you'll have to choose End Date of the first and Start Date of the next as May.

Hope this clarifies.
