How soon can you arrive in Canada before your intake?

Haven’t googled for it but since my agent was sure that there wasn’t any trouble in going to canada 2 months earlier from the classes strt date so i booked my flyt for mid nov. But ystdy when she got informed from her head office abt the arrival restrctn she called me up n asked to reschedule as she said the mail from her head ofc stated that VOs now have the ryt to cancl visas as well. So i didnt wnt to take ny risk n have my flyt rescheduled in mid dec.

no need to google. surely your agent should be able to provide the link if it is trully an “official declaration”. otherwise, its not an “official declaration”, wouldn’t it...

This seems to be a silent rule for students arriving too early from south asian nations. CIC won't declare it officially to safeguard their political interests. They would let it spread mouth to mouth via consultancies. CBSA will deny entry to few students (specially the one who can't really explain their early arrival) to set an example, then the denied students will call up their consultancies to inform and then rest of the lot will be automatically taken care.

In a way it is good. What business a student has arriving 3-4 months before the program starts. I can understand 1 month, but 2/3/4 months is not logical. There may be corner cases, where certain student has a distant relative and may wish to attend some family function etc.

so, is it an “official declaration” or not?

there has to be a clear distinction between an “official declaration” and a “cautionary opinion”, don’t you agree?

U need to chill. Agent suggested to keep me away frm the risk of gtng my visa cancelled. If u wana go sooner, then ur wish. Nobdy is forcng u to follow wt i wrote. U cn read my earlier posts whr i myslf suggested of no restrctn on arrival before a certain deadline n it was my duty to suggest again to the person i suggested before abt the recnt chnge i was informed.

You are just being ignorant on this.many have gone this October andnothing happened with them.By the way your agent is not informed, your visa can never be canceled they can only tell u to book flight to come back and return at the right time but to say your visa will be canceled is a big lie.
