Not before 90 days from colg strt date provided u have funds n health insurance covered. But prefer goin 2 months before only if u want to go early. How soon can I arrive before my study intake?
Yes late nov/dec is totally fine.My intake is in January and I was thinking probably late November or December. Hence will give me enough time to settle and know my routes to school. What do you think ?
But what's concerning me is I already have my passport stamped with an expiry date, will this affect my study permit dates as well?
Thanks @nyeb that's what I'm considering. I'll look up that thread, do you know which on it is?Yes late nov/dec is totally fine.

can you share the link from cic’s website where the official declaration was posted so that everybody would have a reference? since it is officially declared, then there should be a posting in canadian immigration website.Hi.. jst wanted to let u know if u r not olrdy aware of the changed rules regarding arrival in canada.

Haven’t googled for it but since my agent was sure that there wasn’t any trouble in going to canada 2 months earlier from the classes strt date so i booked my flyt for mid nov. But ystdy when she got informed from her head office abt the arrival restrctn she called me up n asked to reschedule as she said the mail from her head ofc stated that VOs now have the ryt to cancl visas as well. So i didnt wnt to take ny risk n have my flyt rescheduled in mid dec.can you share the link from cic’s website where the official declaration was posted so that everybody would have a reference? since it is officially declared, then there should be a posting in canadian immigration website.
This seems to be a silent rule for students arriving too early from south asian nations. CIC won't declare it officially to safeguard their political interests. They would let it spread mouth to mouth via consultancies. CBSA will deny entry to few students (specially the one who can't really explain their early arrival) to set an example, then the denied students will call up their consultancies to inform and then rest of the lot will be automatically taken care.can you share the link from cic’s website where the official declaration was posted so that everybody would have a reference? since it is officially declared, then there should be a posting in canadian immigration website.
