How Our Interview Went - Blog Style!

ooooh what a sweet blog, thank u for sharing, i needed some kleenex too it was like we were going though that interview and i was outside waiting like u!!!! and i saw ourselves in soo many different ways, it's strange how we r all so different the emotions and thoughts r all the same

Crossing my fingers you guys don't have to go through the added stress of an interview. But if you do, don't consider yourself denied. Someone once told me on the forum something that really helped in the days leading up the interview. After reading I had an interview scheduled they said, "To me this sounds very positive - they are giving you an opportunity to show your amazing, genuine, real-life relationship in a way that cannot be conveyed through electricity bills"
-I LOVED THAT! I reminded myself of that everyday, it really helped.

Very, Very True! All of our thought processes are very similar! It's so cool to have this community to share the adventures with because honestly, I'm not sure I would have been able to do it without this site. Or, I may have been able to do it - but certainly not as organized without forgetting something and causing a delay with our application!

yah I'm thinking that too! So glad I ended up giving it to them. The ONLY thing that was not included in my original application that they wanted to see or talk about was my passport. All other FM3 visa cards and plane tickets/dates etc were all in there so it's obvious that, along with Ricardo's cute smile had a lot of weight to our approval.

Hola, itscoezy--I love your comment about the end of the interview: "When the visa officer came to the window I asked her if she wanted to see our additional evidence. She was quick to respond with a smile and told me this part of the process was over. She would not be needing anymore proof from us and Ricardo was approved, pending police checks. I said the first thing that came to mind, 'Are you SURE you don’t want to see our proof? I have so much!!' She laughed and said it was not needed. (She could have humored me and had a look at all my hard work lol but I was glad it was over.)"
That reminded me of the interview when I sponsored my Canadian husband for his green card, 18 years ago. We came with our complete wedding album and bags of souvenirs and photos from our honeymoon, and anything and everything else I could think of (we'd only been together about a year). The Immigration officer quickly approved all our paperwork, and as our attorney was leading us out of the office I blurted out "But I wanted to show her our photos!" The attorney smiled and said "Oh, she doesn't want to see those." But he was wrong! She was newly married, too, and so we spent another 10-15 minutes looking through the album, commenting on the dress, the flowers, everything. ;D Thank you for reminding me of that lovely day, and CONGRATULATIONS to you and your sweetie!

The process is stressful and I wish I could offer up some advice to keep you from worrying but as you read in the blog, I wasn't the best at keeping calm.

Thanks all! So happy it's over Just got our PPR last week so we are making great progress because of this interview! Much faster I know than if we had of sent in all the extra documents.
Interviews aren't so bad after all!

Congratulations to you and your husband, itscoezy!

When the VO wanted proofs that you both lived/live together, what sort of proofs did you end up sending?

My wife and I are currently staying in an apartment, and our names are not on the utility bills...!! Since we're renting the unit, the name of the owner remains on the bills..... how can I prove that we live together then?!
